Asli Bayram was born in Darmstadt, Germany into a middle class Turkish family. Her hometown, Darmstadt, was nicknamed the “German Town of Science”. At 12 years old, Bayram answered the door to a drunken neo-Nazi neighbour wielding a gun at her Darmstadt apartment. As her father lunged to push her daughter out of harm’s way while slamming the door shut, the gun shot passed through the door, passing through her father’s stomach before striking her in the arm. Her father died from the wound.

The motto of Asli Bayram is: “You can do anything if you really want to”. Education School-leaving certificate (Abitur) at the Max Beckmann School in Frankfurt am Main; Studying law in Frankfurt am Main since 2003; Drama training at the BKM (Besiktas Kültür Merkezi) in Istanbul and Anne Mertin, Vienna; Since October, 2007 regular theatrical appearances on stage with “The Diary of Anne Frank” as a scenic reading.
